Santana Row and San Pedro Square are special places to stroll and grab a bite to eat, while hotels and shopping centers feature many locally owned and chain restaurant options. Shopping is just minutes from our community and easily accessible with our onsite transportation. Well known department and clothing stores can be found at the Valley Fair Westfield Mall, while boutique and high-end shops are abundant at the famous Santana Row. Antiques Row is a unique place to find a special vintage piece of jewelry or the perfect sideboard for your new Oakmont home. Many local Farmer’s Markets host vendors of handmade goods that make perfect gifts for friends and loved ones in addition to locally grown fruits and vegetables.
San Jose boasts an impressive 200+ parks, including 54 miles of scenic trails. At Alum Rock Park, one of California’s oldest municipal parks, visitors can hike, ride horses, picnic or just take in a leisurely stroll. At the Heritage Rose Garden, one can see and smell nearly 3,000 varieties of roses. Golf lovers will enjoy the city’s many Golf Clubs, and kids and seniors alike love the Happy Hollow Park and Zoo where we attend Senior Day. With nearly perfect weather year-round, San Jose is a fantastic place to explore the outdoors!
